Archangel Guidance Apps Notifications - General
- Messages are delivered as notifications to your device.
- The notification system is not the same as text messages, and they will not appear in your texting app.
- The new notification messages are delivered to your notification center on your device.
- You may also see them as banners at the top of your screen, and on your lock screen.
- New notification messages are not automatically delivered to the app. If you wish to launch the message into the app, then tap on the notification (slide on notification if on the lock screen).
I am not receiving any notifications. How do I enable them?
1. Please make sure you are allowing Notifications for this app. Initially when you installed the app, you may have declined this feature.
On your iOS device:
- Tap the device settings app
- Tap Notifications
- Tap your Archangel Guidance app in the app list.
- Slide ON "Allow Notifications"
- Tap the device settings app
- Tap Device: Sound & notification
- Tap App Notifications
- Tap your Archangel Guidance app in the app list.
- Verify that "Block" is turned off.
- Priority is an option you can turn "On" if your notifications are not consistently delivered or if you would like this app's notifications to be featured above other notifications on your device
- Tap the Settings icon in the lower right screen in Tap your Archangel Guidance app.
- Set your Start and End Times to define when in the day you would like to allow Notifications to arrive
- Set the Frequency of the notifications to set how often during the day you would like to receive Notifications
My notifications are briefly on the lock screen, but are gone before I finish viewing them. Can I retrieve the message?
1. View all of your notifications that you have recently received by accessing the Notification center at the top of your screen
On your iOS device:
- Swipe downward from the top of your screen (starting above the screen near your camera) until the Notification Center is revealed.
- Tap on the Notifications tab
- Tap on any of your Archangel Guidance app Notifications to launch them in the app
- Swipe downward from the top of your screen (starting above the screen near your camera) to reveal your list of notifications.
- Tap on any of your Archangel Guidance app Notifications to launch them in the app
My notifications are not showing the entire message on my lock screen or through the Notifications Center. How do I view the entire message?
Notifications may have character limits in the Notification center of your device.
1. Launch the notification into the app by tapping on a notification.
2. In the app, longer messages may need to be scrolled by dragging your finger upward over the message to reveal the entire phrase.
Can I configure this to send SMS text or email messages to me?
Not at this time. Archangel Guidance apps exclusively use your device notification system to deliver messages to you.
You may use the Share feature to share messages to others via phone texting or email.
How do I disable notifications sound?
On your iOS device:
- Tap the device settings app
- Tap Notifications
- Tap your Archangel Guidance app in the app list.
- Slide OFF "Sounds"
- Tap the device settings app
- Tap Device: Sound & notification
- Slide Notification volume to the left
iOS Only: When I change my Start and End times, why won't my notifications arrive before 9am or after 5pm?
This Start/End settings issue was a bug that has been addressed in the new iOS version.
Please update to version 1.2+
Android Only: I am not receiving any notification sounds that I've set in the app.
This sound issue is a bug that was fixed in Android version.
Please update to version 1.1+
Why am I receiving message notifications every minute?
This is a bug with the 2-hour frequency setting that we will be addressing in a future update.
Please change your frequency to another setting.
Why have I have stopped receiving message notifications?
Archangel Guidance apps can only queue so many message notifications. When it reaches its limit, you should see a last notification asking you to relaunch the app to refresh the message notifications system.
This typically occurs if you rely on the notifications alone but are not accessing the app. Please launch the app, and then you should start receiving notifications again.
If you continue to have this issue, then please change the Frequency, Save, and then you may change the frequency back to your original setting.
